YEAR

2021.

A house worn by time that was reborn after rehabilitation, with the project’s goal focused on restoring the space and making it more contemporary and welcoming.

Additionally, the house is surrounded by a stunning setting of beach and nature, making it a highly desirable location for vacation periods.

With this premise in mind, the development of the project concept was based on designing:

A ‘holiday home’ designed to be lived in 365 days a year.

A rehabilitation and interior design project that transforms a single-family home in Miramar, combining contemporary elegance with the natural serenity of the coastline.

Due to the compartmentalization of the pre-existing space, the idea was to make the ground floor as open as possible, taking full advantage of natural light throughout the day, as in the case of the double-height ceiling.

With neutral tones, the color palette was chosen to create a relaxing and inviting environment that allows the interior space to harmonize with its surroundings (sand, sea, and nature).

With the double-height ceiling, natural light floods every corner, streaming generously through the windows and reflecting off surfaces, highlighting textures, colors, and details.

The environment was designed so that its backdrop changes with the seasons, reflecting the seasonal shifts of the surrounding nature.

The décor focuses on elements that give personality to the space, such as the vertical fireplace that defines the living area, the lighting details, and the olive tree as an iconic botanical feature.

The custom-designed furniture along the side of the staircase makes functional use of every centimeter, using the same wood to create continuity and harmony with the rest of the space.

The rehabilitation went beyond merely updating materials and reorganizing spaces; it aimed to redefine how the house is experienced. Every design decision was made to maximize the sense of permanence and belonging, rejecting the notion that a vacation home should be merely functional or temporary. The result is a contemporary retreat that provides daily comfort without losing the relaxed charm of a seaside home, allowing each season to reveal a new layer of its identity.

The exterior offers a pool area perfect for enjoying the hottest summer days, with access to an outdoor lounge that provides moments of relaxation and leisure.
